I am a warm and empathetic Psychologist with a passion for helping people to make long-term, positive changes in their lives.
I have experience working with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds who have experienced anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, body image and self esteem issues, trauma, self-harm, addiction and a number of other issues. Prior to working in private practice I worked at a domestic violence charity with people experiencing psychological, emotional and physical abuse.
I have a passion for health psychology, and work holistically to consider how every aspect of a person’s life contributes to their challenges and their wellbeing.
I practice a range of evidence-based approaches including schema therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness.
My therapeutic style is non-judgmental and collaborative, enabling clients to feel supported and comfortable to explore the issues that bring them to therapy.
I support people not only to manage their presenting problems but also to recognise strengths and create meaning within their lives.
I am a Kiwi and gained my Psychology qualifications in New Zealand.
