As a psychologist, my first priority is to create an environment where my clients feel safe, supported and know that their concerns will be treated with respect and compassion. I strive to form a deep understanding of each person’s experiences and build a therapeutic relationship that balances warmth, humour, and sincerity.
I have experience working in a variety of settings such as university clinics, private practice, research clinics, inpatient forensic settings, and in community mental health services.
Across my practice I have worked with people of all ages including young children and families, people from different cultural backgrounds, and have experience working with mental health concerns ranging from daily stresses to severe long-term mental health conditions.
Some of my specific interests include:
- Anxiety disorders
- Self-esteem issues
- Relationship difficulties
- Parenting concerns
In my practice, I draw from a range of evidence-based therapy styles including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Schema Therapy.
I strive to work collaboratively with each person to ensure that together we progress towards the goals that are most important to them.
